988 Director (Full Time) Community Care Alliance life insurance, sick time, tuition reimbursement, 403(b), mileage reimbursement United States, Rhode Island, East Providence Jun 09, 2026 988 Director (Full Time) Community Care Alliance seeks a highly qualified candidate for 988 Director. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the forefront of suicide prevention and crisis response. The ideal candidate appreciates the urgency and immense responsibility of leading from the front of an integrated crisis system, and is committed to advancing an equitable, client-centered, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive service delivery model.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated capacity to lead complex systems -- i.e., proven ability to manage large and diverse teams; to execute multiple high-visibility, high-stakes projects simultaneously; and to build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders Ability to further a programs mission, vision, and values, evidenced by experience with strategic planning, program design or expansion, or similar Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills Proven ability to coach, mentor, train, and respond directly in high acuity clinical environments Consistent success in initiating and executing tasks independently, while simultaneously working with interdisciplinary and cross-program teams
CORE FUNCTIONS
Provides direct supervision and support to the 988 clinical and compliance managers, and is ultimately responsible for ensuring these supervisees are meeting benchmarks in training; staff recruitment, retention, and resiliency; and regulatory adherence Engages in routine evaluation of program needs and develops policies, procedures and strategic goals accordingly Coordinates with various administrative departments (HR, payroll, finance, IT, etc.) to ensure the program is aligned with the agencys mission, values, and culture Communicates progress toward key metrics with internal and external stakeholders via data and outcomes reports, care coordination agreements, and other written reports Leads program staff meetings Participates in outreach opportunities to promote 988 services and ensure program coordination and access
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in social work (clinical track) or related field required, with independent licensure highly preferred At least 3 years of direct practice experience in Emergency Services, Mobile Crisis, or similar crisis intervention settings At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience required; significant director-level experience highly preferred Benefits Community Care Alliance offers competitive salaries based on experience, skills and performance, a comprehensive benefits package, and great quality of work/life.
