Summary/Objective:
The Strategic Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to establish and grow USA DeBusk's presence within the industrial services industry. This role will focus on building relationships, identifying opportunities, securing contracts, and generating wins across our 22 service lines while earning lucrative commission.
Key Responsibilities:
May include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintain strong field presence, spending the majority of the time with customers to generate new business and strengthen long-term partnerships. Research and analyze target market sectors to identify potential clients and partners. Record sales contacts and opportunities and obtain and retain project and company information for inclusion in marketing and proposal products. Evaluate industrial services sector in order to stay up to date on trends and be informed of opportunities prior to becoming public knowledge and strategically position USA DeBusk for responding to RFPs. Develop a business plan for area of responsibility that is consistent with short-term and long-term company objectives. Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure service capability alignment. Demonstrate services and hold lunch-and-learns to prospective clients. Create and maintain account plans, including target account management, prospecting, and executing sales strategies with key partners. Represent USA DeBusk at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Project a positive image in representing the company to clients and the community. Complete and submit accurate weekly activity reports on a timely basis. Participate in monthly cadence with manager to track progress and roadblocks.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
8-10 years in industrial sales with knowledge and relationships in some target accounts. 3 years in a Business Development Role with a consistent track record of success. Selling experience with high value B2B clients. Proven sales leadership in chemical, refining, or industrial manufacturing processes. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage high workloads. Demonstrated success securing contracts within mining operations. Proven negotiation and closing skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to develop account plans and pursuit strategies with minimal guidance. Travel regularly with focus on driving success through working directly with customers and winning business.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience selling directly to petrochemical companies along the Gulf Coast. Existing client relationships within major petrochemical companies along the Gulf Coast. Strong technical aptitude and understanding of chemical, refining and LNG process operations. Experience selling industrial services such as chemical cleaning, lube oil flushing, pickling and passivation, hydro milling, nitrogen services, mechanical services, or specialty maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be willing and physically capable of travelling and driving up to 60 % as required. Must be capable of regularly speaking and hearing while utilizing hands to control or manipulate objects. Must be capable of seeing close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be willing and capable of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, or reaching above the shoulders. Must be willing and physically capable of lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be willing and capable of performing computer-based tasks while sitting or standing at a computer-based workstation for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to make general decisions requiring judgement and perform activities requiring sustained concentration.
