Position Summary:
The Director of Tax will oversee all aspects of the company's tax strategy, compliance, planning, and reporting. This individual will be a key advisor to senior leadership and will ensure the company meets its tax obligations. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of managing tax functions for a company.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the tax function, including income tax compliance, provision, planning, and audits. Develop and implement strategic tax initiatives that align with overall business objectives. Identify and implement tax planning opportunities that support the company's growth and operational goals. Provide oversight of various federal and state tax audits. Oversee federal, state, and partnership tax filings and requirements. Monitor and interpret tax legislation and regulatory changes to assess potential impact. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders including Finance, Legal, Treasury, and Accounting. Lead tax-related aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and integration. Develop and mentor a high-performing internal tax team; provide guidance and career development support. Lead external tax resources and consultants. Represent the company in discussions with tax authorities and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA required. Minimum 15 years of progressive corporate tax experience, state, and partnership tax. Extensive knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and partnership tax. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to assess business and tax impacts. Demonstrated success in managing audits, risk, and tax planning in a multinational environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Location:
Bellevue, WA - In-office position $240,000 to $255,00 base salary range dependent on experience level. Annual bonus target based on profitability and performance.
