$175,000-225,000Work Arrangement:
North Austin / Georgetown / Round Rock, TX, Hybrid-In-Office 2-3x per week Very few opportunities let you build something instead of inherit it. This is one of them. Our Client has created a tax practice with strong fundamentals, a loyal client base, and one of the most stable teams in the industry. Approximately 6% turnover over the last six years in a space that often exceeds 20-25%. Now they are looking for a Director of Tax Services to take ownership and lead it forward. About the Role This is full ownership of the tax function. You will oversee operations, quality, people, and strategy. You will build the team, shape the client experience, and drive growth in a way that aligns with the firm's values. You are not stepping into a maintenance role. You are stepping into a leadership position that requires vision and execution. What You Will Do- Lead and manage the entire tax service line, including people, process, and performance
- Establish and maintain quality standards across all tax engagements
- Develop and retain a high-performing team through strong leadership and accountability
- Drive business development and expand client relationships
- Oversee workflow, capacity planning, and operational efficiency
- Represent the firm in the marketplace through networking and thought leadership
- Advise clients on complex tax and business matters at a strategic level

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred, EA required at minimum; will consider JD
- 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience
- Experience leading a service line or major function
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage a P&L
- Proven leadership, communication, and development skills What You Will Get
- Base salary of $175,000-$225,000 depending on experience
