Job Description

Emergency Alarm Monitoring Operator Help Protect Lives, Homes & Businesses — 24/7 Operations Birmingham, AL | 12-Hour Shifts (Days or Nights) $15.00/hour + Benefits | Full-Time, In-Person Why This Job Is Different This isn't a call center job — it's a mission-critical role . Our Alarm Operators are the first line of response when something goes wrong. You'll help protect people, property, and peace of mind by monitoring emergency alarm signals and coordinating rapid response with Police, Fire, and EMS. If you're calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and want work that actually matters , keep reading. What You'll Do Monitor and respond to fire, burglary, medical, and supervisory alarms Follow clear procedures to dispatch Police, Fire, or EMS Communicate confidently with customers during urgent situations Handle incoming and outbound calls with accuracy and professionalism Support after-hours answering service and message routing Document actions clearly and precisely Who Thrives in This Role You stay cool when things get busy You like structure, procedures, and doing things the right way You're dependable and show up when others don't (24/7 operations matter) You want stability — not sales quotas or upselling You're open to learning specialized systems and skills Backgrounds that do well here: dispatch, healthcare, security, hospitality, call centers, corrections, military, night-shift workers, or anyone who prefers longer shifts and more days off.
