Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher

Overview Chris Sims Trucking, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher to support our daily transportation operations. In this role, you will coordinate freight movements, communicate with drivers and brokers, and ensure timely delivery of loads. Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and dispatch loads using transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards Communicate with drivers to provide load details, routes, and real-time updates Coordinate with brokers, shippers, and customers to secure loads and manage expectations Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues Maintain accurate records of loads, routes, and driver activity in internal systems Assist with freight documentation, invoicing, and reporting Optimize routes and support cost-efficiency initiatives Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies Requirements Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with TMS systems, load boards, and freight operations Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Basic computer proficiency Preferred Qualifications Experience working with trucking companies or owner-operators Knowledge of freight rates, lanes, and route planning Familiarity with ELD systems and DOT compliance Bilingual (English/Spanish or Russian) is a plus Pay & Benefits Competitive pay: $20
