Job Description

Logistics Coordinator Job Overview Preferred Transportation Solutions is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing transportation company. In this role you will be asked to create trucking routes, manage staff, cost effectively manage daily operations while meeting customer needs and oversee daily terminal operations. Responsibilities Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day Monitor and adjust to any sudden route change needs and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries Monitor operations to ensure drivers comply with both company and customer policies, DOT regulations and procedures, safety rules, and federal and state transportation regulations Manage truck maintenance schedule Maintain professional relationships with customers Track daily revenues and expenses Oversee daily rail operations
Qualifications Mobility:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including occasional movement within the office, warehouse, and terminal environments.
Manual Dexterity:
Regular use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and using office equipment such as phones, computers, and printers.
Lifting:
Occasionally lift and carry office or operational materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Vision:
Ability to view computer screens and read printed documents for extended periods.
Hearing and Communication:
Clear hearing and verbal communication to interact effectively with drivers, staff, and customers over phone and radio.
Environment Adaptability:
Comfortable working in both office and operational (e.g., terminal, rail yard) settings with varying levels of noise, temperature, and activity.
