Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight and shipments, ensuring timely delivery and optimal utilization of transportation resources. This role is essential in maintaining efficient supply chain operations, managing communication with drivers, carriers, and clients, and utilizing advanced transportation management systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of logistics and fleet management principles. Must be willing to travel and relocate seasonally between Salinas, CA and Yuma, AZ Schedule Duties Coordinate daily dispatch operations for freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine. Schedule and assign deliveries, pickups, and routes efficiently while considering GPS data, GIS mapping tools, and traffic conditions. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, vendors, and clients via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and professional phone etiquette. Monitor fleet movements using GPS tracking to optimize routes, reduce delays, and improve overall transportation efficiency. Manage shipping & receiving documentation, coordinate with warehouse staff on shipment readiness, and oversee freight loading/unloading processes. Analyze transportation data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies within the supply chain; recommend process improvements. Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, freight movements, and driver logs to support compliance and reporting requirements. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate freight services and ensure seamless supply chain operations. Uphold high standards of communication skills when liaising with internal teams and external partners to ensure clarity and professionalism. Skills Strong knowledge of GIS mapping tools, GPS technology, and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine. Experience with supply chain logistics, transportation planning, shipping & receiving procedures. Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy; familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous. Excellent analysis skills to interpret transportation data for operational improvements. Effective dispatching skills combined with knowledge of fleet management practices. Strong communication skills including phone etiquette; ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally. Familiarity with freight documentation processes and shipping regulations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic typing skills for efficient data entry; understanding of 3PL operations is a plus. Pay:
