Dispatcher I

JOB SUMMARY

Dispatcher is responsible for, but not limited to, coordinating product shipments and transfers to various customers and their locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with sales staff and customers to coordinate purchasing orders Receive, process, and prepare orders for pickup or delivery Coordinate product transfers between locations Coordinate shipments via trucking companies Provide load requirement information to all drivers Complete orders accurately and in a timely manner Operate truck scales Complete weight tags, bills of lading, and hazardous material shipping documents Receive product-order inquiries via phone and email Provide direction and instructions (verbal and written) to customers and employees Track and maintain inventory of products stored in warehouse and in bulk storage Calculate total quantities of product by weight and/or volumetric measurements Perform customer service duties as needed by responding to calls and visitors in a professional manner Provide backup and assistance to other dispatchers/employees by answering phones as needed Assign and monitor drivers throughout routes Performs other duties as assigned

Ability to function in high stress situations Ability to adapt to changing circumstances Ability to work with different personalities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of general purchasing operations Knowledge of agricultural fertilizer and pesticides Excellent customer service skills Bilingual in English/Spanish Proficient in Microsoft Office Valid Driver's License (DMV printout required)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma Associate's Degree in Agriculture Business or General Business is preferred 1+ year of experience of agriculture fertilizer and pesticides 1+ years of experience working as a Dispatcher or in a similar capacity

Sitting for long periods Standing, walking, climbing stairs Finger mobility and grasping Twisting, bending, stooping and reaching Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform physical labor under adverse field conditions
