Monitors transportation costs, maintain records, and ensure compliance with shipping and transportation regulations. What You'll Do 1. Oversees the coordination and routing of shipments. 2. Directs dispatching and routing activities and tracks transportation vehicles. 3. Ensure that customer difficulties or problems are investigated and resolved. 4. Negotiates and secures contracts with transportation providers and customers. 5. Directs all maintenance, repair, and replacement of shipping transportation equipment or vehicles. 6. Implements safety audits and trains staff members on safety issues. 7. Maintains knowledge of best practices including the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods. 8. Maintains knowledge to Ensures compliance of regulations related to transportation including those related to hazardous shipments, employee safety, and freight classifications. with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, and government regulations. 9. In collaboration with other managers, develops and implements policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for transportation operations. 10. Maintains radio and/or phone contact with drivers; receives and dispatches response and emergency aid when needed. 11. Maintains and reviews billing and operation records; monitors daily logs for errors and/or compliance violations. 12. Monitor drivers working hours to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. 13. Reviews and analyzes expenditures and other financial information; uses results to develop and implement plans, policies, and budgets. 14. Collection of payments from customers at time of delivery, when balances are due and according to schedule or payment terms. 15. Performs other related duties as assigned. What You Bring 1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 2. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. 3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 4. Strong logistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 6. Bilingual in English and Chinese; strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Training & Education:
1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Data Analysis, Business Administration, or a related field required. 2. At least 1-2 years of related experience required. 3. Experience in ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system is a plus. 4. Experience with AI tools to enhance role professionalism and overall effectiveness.Supervisory Duties:
1. Hires and trains transportation staff. 2. Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of transportation employees. 3. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. 4. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
