Description:
A lead dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily operations to ensure effective communication among all departments and teams. They proactively monitor and communicate red reports to maintain smooth operations. drives the efficiency of dispatch operations and fulfills all responsibilities required of Customer Service Representatives and Dispatchers to maintain operational efficiency and effectiveness. Essential Function of the
Position:
Oversee and manage daily dispatch operations, including early starts, CODs, and order-taking. Coordinating and announcing early start times for drivers. Handle phone calls and provide backup support for dispatching. Monitor and communicate red flag reports to maintain smooth operations. Train and onboard new hires, ensuring proper dispatching procedures. Write and coordinate Ready Mix schedules daily. Track admixture inventory, including tracking and ordering as needed. Deliver good customer service to maintain strong client relationships. Maintain the company master head sheet of drivers, batch men, and laborers. Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of daily dispatching and operations. Perform all responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and Dispatcher as needed.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to make quick and effective decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding and empathy towards callers and first responders. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Collaborating effectively with team members. Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities in situations requiring diplomacy, friendliness, confidentiality, poise, tact, and good judgment
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a dispatcher Dispatch and monitor drivers Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Uses good judgment in making decisions in emergency and routine situations Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills Must have a pleasing personality and ability to get along with the team
