As we continue to grow, we are looking for dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join our team!
Position Overview:
This position will be located in offices in Downtown Los Angeles, and will be part of JRM's 24/7 Command Center team. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of our various clients, personnel, and assets by monitoring and responding to security events in real time.
Responsibilities:
Monitor live CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and alarms across all facilities. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises. Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Dispatch mobile security personnel or emergency services as needed. Use incident management software to log and track all incidents, activities, and responses. Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and security within the facility. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, providing detailed reports on incidents. Conduct virtual patrols and integrity checks using remote monitoring tools. Manage conflicts effectively, using conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations. Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities we seek: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and coordination. Understanding of physical security principles, emergency response protocols, and access control policies. Knowledge of incident classification, reporting standards, and escalation procedures. Strong analytical skills to assess, interpret, and prioritize multiple sources of information in real time. Proficient in using command center tools such as incident management software, dispatch systems, and video surveillance platforms. High level of attention to detail in monitoring and documenting incidents. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to follow protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely. Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24/7 operational environment. Ability to remain alert and responsive during overnight hours Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions. Ability to see and hear accurately in both day and nighttime conditions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in security or law enforcement is preferred. Valid CA (BSIS) Guard Card 2+ years' experience working as a security officer Prior experience in a command center, dispatch, or security operations center (SOC) is highly desirable.
