Healthcare Dispatcher

Assignment Length 6-Month Contract Position Summary The Healthcare Dispatcher / Communications Operator is responsible for managing high-volume inbound and outbound communications, coordinating services, and ensuring timely, accurate information exchange within a healthcare environment. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work non-traditional schedules, including weekends and overnight shifts. Key Responsibilities Answer and manage multiple phone lines in a fast-paced healthcare setting Dispatch and coordinate healthcare-related services appropriately and efficiently Accurately document calls, dispatch activities, and related information Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external contacts Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, tracking, and reporting Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards Maintain professionalism during high-stress or urgent situations Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience handling multiple phone lines required Dispatch experience preferred , ideally in healthcare or similar environments Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure Must be reliable and able to work weekends Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required

Schedule & Training Training Schedule:

Day Shift:

Sunday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (3 weeks)

Swing Shift Training:

Tuesday-Friday (2 weeks) Post-Training Schedule (Final Assignment): Most likely

Graveyard Shift :

Thursday-Monday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Final shift assignment to be determined Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Murrieta, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
