Job Description Summary The Building Dispatcher supports the Engineering Department by coordinating daily mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) service operations across 50+ executive office commercial properties. This role is responsible for scheduling (12+) technicians, managing service requests, and ensuring effective communication between property managers, engineers, and service teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in work order management systems, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for tracking, reporting, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch technicians based on priority, location, and skill set Monitor technician progress and adjust schedules to maintain efficiency and responsiveness Communicate with property managers to confirm appointments, provide updates, and resolve scheduling conflicts Maintain accurate work orders, service records, and job statuses in Yardi or similar systems Generate reports and track performance metrics using Microsoft Excel Collaborate with service managers to optimize routing, labor allocation, and daily workflows Ensure technicians receive complete job information, including scope and site-specific requirements Support job closeouts, invoicing processes, and service follow-ups Deliver high-quality customer service and escalate issues as needed Qualifications 2+ years of experience in dispatching, scheduling, or technician coordination (MEP or service industry preferred) Experience with Yardi or similar work order management systems strongly preferred Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related service operations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to improve workflows Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, tracking, basic formulas) Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach High attention to detail and accuracy Education & Experience High school diploma required AA or bachelor's degree a plus Facilities or building operations experience preferred Work Environment Collaborative open office-based Monday-Friday role with occasional extended hours during peak periods Frequent coordination with field technicians and customers Communication style is open door, structured, and cross functional Pace is fast paced and steadyVision:
