In this vital role, you will coordinate the timely and efficient dispatching of rental equipment, delivery trucks, and staff to ensure seamless event setups and breakdowns. Your proactive communication skills and attention to detail will drive operational success, helping us deliver exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly from order placement to equipment delivery. Our Dispatcher is the operational heart of our delivery business. You own the daily orchestration of trucks, crews, routes, and customer communications — turning a constant flow of contracts, last-minute changes, and logistical puzzles into a calm, well-executed day. You work closely with our sales team, warehouse, drivers, and leadership to make sure every event we service goes off without a hitch. This role is onsite at our Sunnyvale warehouse and reports to the Operations Manager.
Requirments:
2-5 years of dispatch, logistics, or event operations experience — ideally in rentals, events, catering, or field services Point of Rental experience strongly preferred (dispatch, fulfillment, DAG, and venue sites modules). If you don't know POR specifically, you'll need deep experience in a comparable rental/dispatch system and a demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly Fluency in common operational tools: Excel, Outlook, Teams, Google Maps, and GPS tracking (we use Zonar / TSO Mobile) Strong routing instincts. You know how to sequence time-sensitive stops, keep crews on efficient corridors (El Camino, Lawrence Expressway), and read a map faster than Google can Calm under pressure. Last-minute changes, overbooks, and driver issues are not edge cases — they are Tuesday Excellent written communication for customer-facing ETA emails and internal coordination Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred — most of our delivery crew is primarily Spanish-speaking, and clear communication drives both safety and on-time performance Reliable early-morning attendance. A 7:50 AM start is non-negotiable. If that's a stretch, this isn't the role What makes someone great in this seat You must be reliable, responsible, and detail oriented You think three moves ahead — always weighing how one change cascades through the day You know your people: which crew handles VIP customers best, which newer driver needs to be paired with an experienced assistant, which stops can slip and which absolutely cannot You communicate proactively — sales and customers never have to wonder where their delivery is You notice patterns (recurring hardware misses, weight issues, routing inefficiencies) and propose process improvements, not just fixes
Pay:
$25.00 - $31.00 per hour
