The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of product. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The shift will cover 11:00am-7:30pm with occasional overtime as the season demands. Duties Manage incoming and outgoing calls while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Utilize transportation management systems to schedule and dispatch drivers effectively. Perform data entry tasks related to shipments, including tracking and updating delivery statuses. Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, address concerns, and ensure adherence to schedules. Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to optimize routes for efficiency. Monitor logistics operations to identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively. Requirements Proven experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred but not mandatory. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a definite plus for communicating with our distribution and yard teams, but it is not a requirement. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail is required. Familiarity with transportation management software is a plus. Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
