Job Description

3 Month Assignment covering for leave of absence Job Summary The Service Dispatcher is the operational hub of our Service team. This role coordinates incoming service requests, prioritizes and schedules technicians efficiently, and ensures clear, proactive communication between clients, technicians, Field Managers, and Account Managers. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and takes pride in keeping operations organized, responsive, and running smoothly. What You'll Do Dispatch & Scheduling Schedule and assign service technicians based on urgency, geography, skillset, and availability Maintain and manage the dispatch board for full visibility of technician status and job progress Review daily on-call schedules and anticipate emergency service needs Schedule and track preventative maintenance work orders Client Communication Receive and manage incoming calls, emails, and text messages Communicate schedule updates, delays, and changes promptly and professionally Obtain deposits for residential/non-account customers when required Support payment follow-up when necessary Operational Coordination Create and manage work orders with accuracy and attention to detail Maintain the service inbox and ensure timely routing of requests Ensure proper documentation, filing, and distribution of service paperwork Collaborate with Service Managers and Supervisors to resolve scheduling conflicts or urgent issues Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve processes and communication flow Exercise sound judgment and decision-making within scope of responsibility Maintain consistent and reliable attendance What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required 2-4 years of dispatch experience in a fast-paced service environment required Ability to manage multiple calls and priorities simultaneously Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch/scheduling software Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This position takes place in a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 20% of the time. The work environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are reasonable. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.50 per hour
