This role is responsible for managing dispatcher performance, technician scheduling and routing, operational efficiency, customer service standards, and overall dispatch team accountability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced service environment and can balance team management with day-to-day operational oversight. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily dispatch operations across multiple service departments. Oversee dispatcher performance, training, coaching, and accountability. Monitor technician scheduling, routing, and workload distribution to maximize efficiency. Ensure calls are assigned based on technician skillset, availability, and geographic location. Manage open calls, dispatch queues, technician boards, and scheduling adjustments throughout the day. Review live updates, call statuses, payments, notes, and service documentation for accuracy. Handle escalated customer issues and support service recovery efforts. Monitor route efficiency, technician productivity, GPS activity, and service response times. Coordinate communication between dispatch, customer service, field technicians, and management. Develop and implement dispatch process improvements and operational best practices. Prepare reports related to dispatch performance, service levels, and operational metrics. Support dispatch activities directly when operational demands require. Qualifications Previous dispatch management or supervisory experience required. Strong background in technician scheduling, routing, and service operations. Experience within HVAC, Plumbing, Appliance Repair, Home Services, or similar field service industries preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
