In this vital role, you will coordinate the dispatching of tow trucks and drivers to respond promptly to roadside assistance requests, manage logistics for vehicle recovery, and ensure efficient communication between customers, drivers, and service providers. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth operations, optimize fleet utilization, and deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an engaging environment where your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will directly impact our service quality and operational success. Responsibilities Receive and prioritize incoming calls from customers requiring towing or roadside assistance, ensuring clear communication and efficient response times Dispatch tow trucks and drivers using transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS technology to locate the nearest available units Monitor fleet status through GPS tracking, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and other telematics tools to optimize routing and response efficiency Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, shipping & receiving teams, and internal departments to facilitate vehicle recovery and freight movement Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including data entry into systems like Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 Manage multi-line phone systems professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills during high-pressure situations Track and analyze operational data to improve dispatching workflows, transportation planning, and overall logistics performance Skills Strong knowledge of
GIS, GPS
tracking, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics software such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally using proper etiquette Proficient in data entry, typing, organization, and multitasking across multi-line phone systems Familiarity with supply chain processes, transportation planning, fleet management, shipping & receiving procedures, and freight handling Analysis skills to interpret operational data for continuous improvement in dispatching efficiency Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), AS400 platforms, and related logistics tools such as SyteLine or Oracle Transportation Management is preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment This role is a paid position that offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our transportation operations.
