Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Full-Time Dispatcher to manage daily operations for our fleet of three hotshot trucks. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating loads, communicating with drivers and customers, optimizing routes, tracking deliveries, and ensuring efficient fleet utilization. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment. Duties Dispatch and coordinate daily loads for three hotshot trucks. Source and book freight through load boards and broker relationships. Communicate load details, pickup information, and delivery schedules to drivers. Monitor driver progress and provide support throughout each trip. Track shipments and provide status updates to customers and brokers. Negotiate rates with brokers and customers when appropriate. Manage scheduling to maximize truck utilization and profitability. Ensure drivers have all required paperwork and documentation. Maintain accurate records of loads, deliveries, invoices, and dispatch activities. Resolve delivery issues, delays, and customer concerns professionally. Assist with compliance and DOT-related documentation as needed. Qualifications Previous dispatching, logistics, transportation, or trucking experience preferred. Experience with hotshot trucking is highly preferred. Familiarity with load boards such as DAT, Truckstop, or similar platforms. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with computers, email, spreadsheets, and dispatch software. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Knowledge of routing, freight rates, and transportation regulations is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Performance-based bonuses available. Paid time off.
