We are a towing company searching for a professional and experienced dispatcher to join our dynamic team at Marietta Wrecker in Marietta, GA, Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience dispatching, preferably in the towing or transportation industry. Exceptional customer service skills are a must, along with being an excellent team player and communicator. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Available Shift:
3rd shift or Overnight Availability Friday - Monday shift
Open Availability Preferred Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently dispatch drivers to destinations. Input information into the computer with great attention to detail. Maintain the correct status of tows in the computer to provide customers with accurate status and details of their requests. Provide accurate and detailed information to the drivers for call completion. Communicate with drivers to input invoice numbers, mileage, and prices in the software. Utilize navigation systems (i.e. Samsara, Google Maps) for efficient routing and assisting drivers & customers with location troubleshooting. Understand and provide appropriate estimated time of arrivals. Know customer base and provide accurate rates & mileage to all customers. Understand and provide accurate mapping information to the drivers. Communicate with drivers through company radios. Demonstrate responsiveness to requests from others and help when needed. Follow proper paperwork and procedures necessary to perform payouts and other procedural duties. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public. Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a customer service role Ability to effectively handle pressure Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Pass a standard background check and drug screen. Possess a valid GA Driver's License.
