Job Description

The Dispatcher is responsible for Transient Alert assistance and management in support of the Transient Alert Aircraft Services program at Robins AFB. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Transient Alert Dispatcher will perform the following tasks: Coordinate with Airfield Management Operations (AMOP) for daily transient aircraft workload. Acts as a liaison to flight line support units (Fuels, Transportation and Air Terminal Operations Center, etc.). Notifies AMOS to contact TA personnel on the radio when transient control room is unmanned due to surge in mission. Transient Alert Dispatcher will monitor Prior Permission Requests (PPRs), Global Decision Support System (GDSS) and utilize government issued Land Mobile Radios (LMRs). Transient Alert Dispatcher will coordinate parking locations, fuel delivery requests and service or maintenance requirements to ensure timely arrival of government maintenance specialists/materials when required. Notify AMOPS of ground transportation requests, departures and transient aircraft experiencing problems. Promptly inform AMOPS of any change in maintenance status. May assist Transient Alert aircraft worker on flightline if needed. Must be able to use Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Education/Experience Requirements:
FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license, or five years of Transient Alert experience, or proof of Civil Service/Military training and experience on DoD aircraft at the Journeyman level
Security Clearance:
Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
