Job Description
We are currently seeking a person who is responsible for efficiently processing orders for Truck Load Dry Van shipments and Brokering Loads. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach and attention to detail to ensure quality and service commitments are met. Responsibilities will include dispatch and tracking of drivers as well as utilizing internet load boards for additional work and back hauls. Brokering experience a must. Qualifications and Skills
- Must have current experience with Internet Truckstop/DAT and other online load boards. Posting Loads and Finding Loads
- Experience recruiting to Hire, onboard and interact with independent contractors
- Must have 3-5 years trucking dispatch experience in the Atlanta Area
- Able to Schedule and route deliveries
- Must have experience managing DOT Compliance and Safety
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the metro Atlanta area
- Able to communicate with and follow SOP's for multiple clients
- Communicate service problems to management, and to customer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain positive working relationships and resolve issues with independent contractors
- Strong computer skills required: Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must be a self starter, demonstrating the ability to learn the intricacies of the job with minimal support
- Demonstrate good example of teamwork and leadership
- Good business acumen with ability to multitask and handle pressure
- Adhere to and enforce all operational procedures and policies
- Identify problem areas and offer solutions to improve operational efficiency Minimum Requirements
- Two to five years of transportation experience required, preferably in the Truck Load or related environment.
