Dispatcher/Freight Broker

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods by connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation solutions. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of supply chain logistics. Duties Establish and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure effective communication and service delivery. Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to manage shipments, track deliveries, and optimize routes. Analyze shipping data and trends to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Coordinate dispatching activities, ensuring that all shipments are scheduled accurately and timely. Manage the logistics of shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and compliance with regulations. Leverage GPS technology to monitor shipment progress and provide updates to clients. Collaborate with 3PL providers to enhance service offerings and streamline operations. Utilize GIS tools for route planning and analysis to improve transportation efficiency. Experience Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is preferred but not required. Experience in dispatching operations is beneficial. Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions regarding shipping logistics. Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) for tracking and managing shipments. Ability to use a computer and email effectively.
