We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher for our team in Chicago Ridge, IL This vital role involves coordinating freight movements, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely deliveries to support our commitment to exceptional service. Hours:

11:00am - 9:00pm, M-F Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule freight shipments efficiently using transportation management systems. Communicate with drivers, customers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations. Monitor freight movements and adjust plans as necessary for timely deliveries. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to optimize routing and logistics. Maintain accurate data entry and documentation for all dispatch activities. Collaborate with the logistics team to improve dispatch processes. Provide exceptional phone etiquette and communication support. Support fleet management activities as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in dispatching within the transportation or logistics industry. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and GPS technology. Excellent communication skills and ability to handle multi-line phone systems. Ability to analyze data and optimize routes effectively. Proficiency in data entry and using logistics software such as Oracle Transportation Management. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures. Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently. High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics certifications are a plus.'
