Role Purpose Statement We are growing our Chicago transportation operation and looking for motivated Transportation Supervisors in Dispatch to join our leadership team near O'Hare International Airport. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a 24/7 operation that supports the airline industry, where safety, teamwork, and reliability matter every day. The Transportation Supervisor leads a team of 15-20 team members responsible for ensuring all flights receive the right product, at the right time, every time. This role oversees daily transportation operations in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive airline environment, with a strong focus on safety, execution, and service reliability. The Transportation Supervisor is accountable for coordinating drivers, routes, and schedules to support on‑time departures while maintaining full compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards. This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, engaging with teams, and solving real‑time operational challenges. The ideal candidate thrives in a production environment, actively monitors performance and safety, and leads by example to foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Main Accountabilities Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met timely Conduct daily work group meetings Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies standards (example: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), etc.) Document and follow up on all department processes in order to implement improvements Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations Troubleshooting work radios and other IT related tasks Oversee a team of 16 Non-Union Dispatchers Responsible for improving our data analytics through process changes and employee follow up Other duties as deemed necessary Knowledge, Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred). 3+ years of experience in transportation or logistics supervision. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards. Experience with routing software and transportation management systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs. CDL license or experience managing CDL drivers preferred.
