Job Description
We are seeking a Truck Dispatcher! The truck dispatcher is responsible for coordinating semi truck schedules, assigning pick up and drop off locations, communicating with drivers, and helping make sure deliveries run smoothly from start to finish. For over 20 years SFI Topsoil has provided bulk dirt and custom blends for pick up or delivery throughout Chicagoland. We take over local fields, test the soil, and bring our pulverizer on-site to ensure the highest quality soil. We are currently members of Landscape Illinois, Contractors Association of Will & Grundy Counties, Illinois Association of Park Districts, Underground Contractors Association, Association of Subcontractors & Affiliates, & more. Responsibilities Dispatching semi trucks daily. Scheduling pickup and drop off locations for each driver. Communicating with drivers throughout the day. Coordinating delivery times with customers, jobsites, and internal team members. Adjusting routes and schedules when changes come up. Tracking truck locations, delivery status, and completed loads. Communicating delays, issues, or changes quickly and professionally. Keeping accurate records of deliveries, loads, tickets, and daily trucking activity. Ensuring trucks arrive and depart each day in good working condition. Benefits Health insurance Paid time off
