WEEKEND FUEL DISPATCHER

Weekend Fuel Dispatcher Responsibilities:

The Weekend Fuel Dispatcher position coordinates detailed dispatch specifications for customers, performs load planning activities, coordinates load assignments, monitors physical inventories, and handles administrative paperwork and entry duties. The Weekend Fuel Dispatcher is the primary contact between the customers, drivers, and the Company. The emphasis of this position is to ensure that customers needs are met in a prompt and professional manner. The Weekend Fuel Dispatcher will work closely with the Fuel Transport Drivers and reports directly to the Transport General Manager. Weekend Fuel Dispatcher duties will include but are not limited to:

Responsible for monitoring the fuel inventory at Company and customer locationsDispatch Company drivers and common carriers to replenish fuel inventory to company-operated locations and customer locations across Indiana, Michigan, and IllinoisPrepare schedules indicating loading and unloading times and assigning drivers and equipmentDemonstrate compliance with Federal, State and Local rules & regulationsComplete daily and weekly operational reportsMonitor fuel usage and make independent decisions about when and where to deliver fuel, including decisions regarding diverting loads, canceling deliveries and adding deliveries Ensure the customers overall experience and service exceeds Company standardsContact customers to schedule deliveries based on forecast and projected fueling needsWork with the Pricing Analyst to identify lowest cost of goods and market strategy on a daily basisMaximize customer service and Company profits through effective management of fuel

Experience/Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Two (2) year of transportation dispatching experienceTwo (2) year of local routing dispatch experience Proficient in Microsoft Office to include

Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred Skills:

Associates or Bachelors Degree Previous fuel industry logistics and dispatch experienceFamiliarity with OPIS and Platts pricing indexesDispatch software experience (Intellifuel, SmartLogix, etc.)Experience or knowledge of fuel inventory management tools

Hours:

Weekend Fuel Dispatcher is a part time position and works Saturdays and Sundays.

Salary/Income:

Weekend Fuel Dispatcher is a non exempt, hourly position Saturday and Sunday from 7am-7pm
