Trucking Dispatcher

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Trucking Dispatcher to coordinate and manage freight transportation operations efficiently. Duties Dispatch freight loads to drivers based on real-time GPS data, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and transportation planning tools to optimize routes and delivery times Coordinate with carriers and customers using transportation management systems like McLeod to ensure seamless shipping & receiving operations Monitor fleet movements via Verizon systems, adjusting schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines Maintain accurate data entry for shipments and freight details within McLeod software. Communicate effectively with drivers and customers via phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and clear verbal communication Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays, proposing solutions to improve overall supply chain performance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during dispatching activities Requirements Proven experience in dispatching within the transportation or logistics industry, with knowledge of freight operations and fleet management Proficiency in using McLeod software platforms for data entry and dispatching tasks Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle multiple while maintaining professionalism Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Typing skills sufficient for quick data entry and documentation accuracy Join our team as a Trucking Dispatcher where your expertise will drive operational excellence!
