This energetic position demands proactive communication, precise scheduling, and seamless coordination with drivers, healthcare providers, and clients. Your expertise will ensure that every ride is handled with professionalism, compassion, and efficiency, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch transportation requests promptly using transportation management systems and GPS technology to optimize routes and ensure timely pickups and drop-offs. Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems and radio to relay instructions, updates, and address any issues that arise during transit. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to analyze routes, improve efficiency, and support transportation planning efforts. Maintain accurate data entry within systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 to track trips, driver schedules, and client information. Monitor fleet management systems to oversee vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers and clients to confirm appointment times and special requirements while providing exceptional phone etiquette and customer service. Support shipping & receiving processes related to medical supplies or equipment when necessary within a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) framework. Experience Proven experience in dispatching within transportation management or logistics environments; familiarity with NEMT operations is highly desirable. Strong analysis skills to evaluate routes, optimize dispatching strategies, and troubleshoot operational issues efficiently. Knowledge of transportation planning principles, supply chain logistics, and fleet management practices. Proficiency with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms like SyteLine or AS400. Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for interacting with clients, drivers, healthcare providers, and team members. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously using multi-line phone systems and data entry tools accurately under pressure. Familiarity with GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, freight tracking systems, and shipping & receiving procedures enhances operational effectiveness.
