Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher / Office Assistant to join our logistics team. This role is essential in coordinating transportation operations, managing freight and fleet activities, and ensuring efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with GIS, GPS, and data entry tools such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine is highly desirable. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of our supply chain and logistics processes. Duties Coordinate daily dispatching activities for freight and fleet management using transportation management systems Utilize GPS tools for route planning, tracking, and optimizing transportation routes. Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods. Maintain accurate data entry related to dispatching, freight movements, and inventory updates via multi-line phone systems. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams through phone etiquette and professional communication skills. Monitor transportation operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist in logistics analysis to improve efficiency in supply chain processes and transportation planning. Support fleet management activities including vehicle scheduling, maintenance coordination, and tracking using transportation management systems. Handle inquiries related to 3PL services, freight status, shipping & receiving issues, and other logistics-related matters. Experience Prior experience in dispatching or transportation management is preferred. Familiarity with GPS technology, and transportation management systems. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to logistics operations. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette and multi-line phone systems. Demonstrated ability in data entry, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management activities. Experience working with software platforms.
