As a dispatcher, you'll be the calm and steady voice during emergencies, coordinating law enforcement, fire and rescue responses quickly and effectively. This position is more than a job

As a Public Safety Dispatcher, you'll operate advanced communication equipment, handle both routine and emergency calls, and coordinate responses across law enforcement, fire, and rescue departments. You'll monitor public safety frequencies, maintain situational awareness, and retrieve crucial information from complex teletype and video terminals. All applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Certified applicants must possess current

E-911, EMD

(Emergency Medical Dispatch), and EFD (Emergency Fire Dispatch) certifications. Working knowledge of IMC is desirable. Certified applicants will undergo a comprehensive screening process which includes an oral board, background check and polygraph examination. Non-Certified applicants must successfully complete the required training and obtain E-911, EMD, and EFD Certifications within an established timeframe. Non-Certified applicants will undergo a comprehensive screening process which includes an Assessment Test, oral board, background check and polygraph examination.
