In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for sourcing used and salvage vehicles, negotiating purchase terms, and coordinating the procurement process to ensure a seamless inventory flow. Your proactive approach will help us acquire the best vehicles at competitive prices while maintaining excellent relationships with vendors and internal departments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our vehicle acquisition strategy, supporting our commitment to providing top-tier used cars to our customers. Responsibilities Identify and evaluate potential used and salvage vehicle sources through online platforms, auctions, dealer networks, and private sellers. Negotiate purchase prices, terms, and conditions to secure optimal deals aligned with company standards and budget targets. Coordinate the logistics of vehicle transportation from acquisition points to the dealership or storage facilities. Maintain accurate records of all transactions using CRUSH Yard Management software for procurement tracking and inventory management. Collaborate with the sales and inventory teams to forecast demand and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained. Conduct vehicle inspections to verify condition, mileage, title status, and compliance with quality standards. Manage vendor relationships and sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and pricing negotiations. Assist with dispatching company owned flatbeds to pick up purchased vehicles. Requirements Proven experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement within the automotive industry or related fields. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining professional relationships. Ability to analyze market trends and pricing data to make informed buying decisions. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping. Nice-to-have skills include experience in the auto salvage or towing industries, experience with e-commerce platforms, contracts management, and familiarity with procurement software tools related to supply chain management.
