Farmington Hills, MI Job Details Full-time From $50,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Teamwork Moving High school diploma or GED Driver's License Warehouse experience Full Job Description Job Title Dispatcher / Warehouse Manager - Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Job Summary The Dispatcher / Warehouse Manager is responsible for coordinating daily delivery operations, managing warehouse inventory, supervising delivery staff, and ensuring timely and accurate distribution of durable medical equipment (DME). This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient logistics, excellent customer service, and compliance with healthcare and safety standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch daily delivery and pickup schedules for drivers and technicians Monitor delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service Manage warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, organizing, and inventory control Oversee cleaning, sanitizing, testing, and maintenance of returned medical equipment Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory audits Communicate with patients, healthcare facilities, and referral sources regarding deliveries and equipment availability Supervise warehouse staff and delivery personnel Train employees on safety procedures, equipment handling, and company policies Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and company standards Resolve delivery issues, scheduling conflicts, and customer concerns professionally Coordinate equipment repairs and preventive maintenance Maintain delivery logs, dispatch records, and operational documentation Assist management with workflow improvements and operational efficiency Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred Previous dispatching, warehouse, logistics, or DME experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Experience managing schedules, routing, and inventory systems Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and inventory software Ability to lead and supervise team members effectively Knowledge of durable medical equipment and healthcare operations is a plus Valid driver's license preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50-75 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to work in warehouse and office environments Occasional assistance with loading/unloading delivery vehicles Skills Dispatch coordination Inventory management Team leadership Problem-solving Time management Customer service Logistics and route planning Attention to detail Work Environment Warehouse operations Office/dispatch environment Healthcare and home medical equipment industry Fast-paced, team-oriented setting This description reflects common responsibilities for dispatcher and warehouse management roles within the durable medical equipment industry.
