Transportation Dispatcher 600 Grand River Avenue, Port Huron, MI 48060 From $16.50 an hour - Full-time From $16.50 an hour - Full-time Overview Coordinate are transportation in the most cost and time efficient manner possible, through the dispatching of assigned vehicles, recruitment, and dispatching of volunteer drivers, and the compiling and submission of reports. Responsibilities Compile and submit timely reports on vehicle usage, riders, mileage and necessary vehicle repairs, daily trip logs, etc. Recruit and dispatch volunteer drivers. Maintain listing of current volunteer drivers. Handle incoming requests for transportation in a courteous, helpful manner. Prepare drivers schedules. Collect and review driver's daily and weekly check lists and daily sheets. Arrange vehicle repairs and arrange for backup coverage while vehicles are being repaired. Turn in all transportation donations to the Area Supervisor daily. Acts as back-up driver when needed. Other duties as requested by the Area Supervisor, Executive Director or designee. Skills Empathy of senior citizens. Effective organizational skills. Effective communication and referral skills. Ability to provide accurate reports in a timely fashion. Computer experience preferred. Current CDL License with proper endorsements. Flexibility.
