Full‑Time Corner Home Medical is seeking an experienced and highly organized Dispatcher to help delivery drivers, manage daily routing and schedules, and ensure timely delivery of durable medical equipment (DME) to patients and facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with strong dispatch, routing, and GPS tracking experience who thrive in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment. Serve as the primary contact for customers and internal teams; address questions, service issues, and equipment requests. Monitor personnel and equipment locations/utilization to coordinate schedules and optimize routes. Receive, create, and relay work orders, messages, and updates to DME Delivery Technicians, Repair Techs, CSRs, Supervisors, and Sales via phone/computer systems. Prepare and publish daily work and run schedules. Determine equipment, vehicles, materials, and staffing needs according to work orders/specs. Advise drivers on traffic conditions, construction, accidents, weather, and other hazards.
Maintain accurate records:
customer requests, services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and dispatch logs. Collaborate with leadership on process improvements; support special projects as assigned. Uphold CHM's mission, reputation, and customer satisfaction standards. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of dispatch experience preferred (logistics, transportation, service dispatch, or delivery operations). Knowledge of routing and GPS tracking software (e.g., route optimization, real‑time tracking). Valid driver's license; must maintain an acceptable driving record. Strong judgment and decision‑making skills with ability to weigh costs/benefits. Excellent customer service skills; experience assessing needs and meeting service standards. Strong time management —ability to manage own time and coordinate others. Understanding of transportation principles for moving products/services efficiently. Foundational knowledge of administration & management (planning, resource allocation, coordination). Effective troubleshooting and operations analysis skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office ; able to learn and implement new software tools. Experience motivating and coordinating teams ( management of personnel resources ). Excellent written and verbal communication and professional phone etiquette. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced setting. Positive problem‑solver; team player with strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Willingness to complete vendor/company DME training and in‑services. Physical Requirements Prolonged sitting and/or standing (up to 8+ hours/day). Frequent keyboarding and phone use (fine motor dexterity). Clear verbal communication; ability to understand spoken communication. Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs (supplies/files). Close and color vision required. Professional appearance required. Steel‑toed shoes required (warehouse environment). Work Environment Warehouse and dispatch office setting with frequent computer/phone usage. Fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment coordinating multiple routes and stakeholders.
