In this role, you will help coordinate the movement of shipments, support driver communication, monitor routes, and ensure customer commitments are met. This position serves as a key connection point between drivers, customers, warehouse teams, and operations leadership to support timely deliveries and efficient daily operations. Schedule This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and varying hours based on business needs. Duties Coordinate and schedule pickups, deliveries, routes, and shipments using transportation management systems and internal dispatch tools. Monitor driver activity, shipment status, and vehicle locations to support on-time delivery performance. Communicate professionally with drivers, customers, warehouse staff, and internal teams through phone, email, and system updates. Support routing decisions, issue resolution, and daily operational adjustments in a fast-paced environment. Enter accurate information related to shipments, routes, delivery activity, customer updates, and operational records. Help resolve or escalate service issues, delivery concerns, scanning discrepancies, and schedule changes. Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to support shipment flow, documentation accuracy, and customer service expectations. Maintain awareness of safety, compliance, and delivery standards while supporting efficient dispatch operations. Assist with other operational and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Previous dispatching experience in a transportation, logistics required. Familiarity with transportation management systems, GPS tracking, routing tools, or fleet management software preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to handle multi-line phones professionally. Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adjust quickly, and communicate effectively across teams. Basic understanding of shipment coordination, routing, delivery documentation, and transportation operations preferred. Flexibility to work overnights, weekends, and changing schedules based on operational needs.
