We are seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as full-time Emergency Communications Dispatchers. This position plays a vital role in public safety by serving as the first point of contact for citizens in need ad coordinating responses for law enforcement, fire, and EMS.
Requirements:
:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • NO felony convictions or violent misdemeanors
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test (per policy, no marijuana usage is allowed once hired)
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Basic computer proficiency; typing accuracy required
  • Prior dispatch or public safety experience is helpful but not required
  • training provided
Responsibilities:
  • Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls for service
  • Dispatch deputies and other first responders using radio and computer-aided systems
  • Maintain accurate, detailed logs of calls, unit activity, and incidents
  • Provide clear, calm instructions to callers during high-stress situations
  • Operate
NCIC/MULES
systems and handle sensitive information with discretion _ Support daily operations of the Sheriff's Office as needed Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
