In this energized role, you will serve as the critical link between emergency responders, law enforcement agencies, fire personnel, and the public. Your expertise in handling multi-line phone systems, dispatching, and data entry will help coordinate rapid responses to emergencies, providing reassurance and clarity during high-pressure situations. Duties Operate multi-line phone systems efficiently to answer incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, providing clear and concise information. Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and other emergency services promptly based on priority and location details. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and GPS technology to accurately identify incident locations and assist responders effectively. Conduct phone triage by gathering critical information from callers to determine appropriate response actions. Qualifications Prior experience or background in public safety is desirable but not required. Strong understanding of GIS, GPS, and mapping tools used for precise incident location identification. Good communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette, active listening, and clear articulation under pressure. Proficiency in typing, transcription, data entry, and analysis skills to document incidents swiftly and accurately. Experience with multi-line phone systems, security protocols, and conflict management techniques is preferred. Ability to stay calm in stressful situations while making quick decisions that prioritize community and public safety.
