This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in supporting drivers while ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time. As an OTR Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in daily operations by coordinating freight, communicating with drivers and customers, and helping maximize fleet productivity while maintaining exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch over-the-road freight across multiple regions Manage driver schedules, load assignments, and equipment utilization Monitor shipments and proactively address delays or service issues Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers while they are on the road Communicate with customers, brokers, shippers, and receivers regarding load status and delivery schedules Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and customer requirements Maintain accurate dispatch records and operational documentation Work closely with operations, safety, maintenance, and customer service teams to support overall fleet performance Respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and unexpected situations Qualifications Previous dispatch, logistics, transportation, or fleet management experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with transportation management systems, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office applications Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours-of-Service requirements preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and able to balance driver support, customer expectations, and operational efficiency.
