Full Job Description Job Summary:
Evergreen Clearing, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Manager Dispatcher to oversee daily transportation logistics and equipment operations. This role monitors vehicle and equipment maintenance, ensures compliance with safety regulations, including DOT requirements, and serves as the primary point of contact between drivers and customers. The Fleet Manager Dispatcher also coordinates load assignments, plans efficient routes, and manages driver schedules to support on-time deliveries.
Core Responsibilities:
Fleet Maintenance:
Track vehicle and equipment diagnostics, schedule routine preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
Dispatch & Routing:
Assign loads to available drivers, create efficient daily routes, and monitor estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
Driver Management:
Communicate load details, handle route issues or delays, and build positive relationships to maximize driver retention and profitability.
Compliance & Safety:
Enforce FMCSA rules. Ensure vehicles meet safety standards, maintain maintenance records and that all drivers/vehicles comply with Department of Transportation laws, and local regulations.
Leadership:
Monitoring, correcting, and improving driving behaviors and operations.
- Communicate with Crew Foreman & Sub crews to schedule daily logistics and material needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Communication:
Exceptional conflict resolution and interpersonal skills to handle high pressure situations and communicate clearly to all parties.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience using GPS telematics, logistics tracking, and fleet management software.
Agility & Multi-taking:
Must have the capability to switch between routine logistics tracking and urgent emergency breakdown management. Also, exceptional organizational capabilities to coordinate overlapping schedules and regulatory deadlines.
- Valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
- Not required but would be nice for this candidate to have skills with the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM).
- Computer skills
Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed.

- Physical activities related to this job may include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, and repetitive motions.
