Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Delivery Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the efficient delivery of freight and shipments. In this vital role, you will serve as the central communication hub between drivers, clients, and warehouse teams, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Your expertise in transportation management systems, GPS technology, and logistics will drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced supply chain environment where your analysis skills and dispatching experience will make a meaningful impact. Duties Coordinate daily delivery schedules using transportation management systems such as NAPA Delivery Tracker and TAMS (Our POS System) Coordinating and scheduling drivers and their schedules. Communicate with drivers via multi-line phone systems, providing clear directions, updates, and support throughout their routes Monitor GPS tracking to track vehicle locations, troubleshoot delays, and adjust dispatch plans accordingly Manage shipping and receiving processes, including freight documentation, data entry, and inventory updates TAMS and NDT. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery statuses, and related data for analysis and reporting purposes Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for route planning and transportation analysis to enhance efficiency Ensure compliance with safety regulations by verifying driver documentation and adherence to transportation planning standards Skills Proficiency in GPS technology for real-time vehicle tracking and route optimization Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette suited for professional interactions with drivers, clients, and team members Analytical skills to interpret transportation data, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements Experience with GIS tools for transportation planning and analysis Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping Join us as a Delivery Dispatcher where your proactive approach will keep our supply chain moving smoothly!
