Job Description

Dispatch Operations Team Member Responsibilities:
Training Program:
Participate in learning the fundamentals of fleet planning, route optimization, and dispatch operations.
Customer Service:
Provide Exceptional assistance to existing and new customers
Driver Assistance:
Facilitate permits, loads, and general questions and concerns
Permitting:
Help keep our fleet moving by learning to order single-trip and blanket permits through state permitting sites
Scheduling and Managing:
Work with vendor partners to hire and manage pilot cars as needed
Industry Familiarity:
Leverage your existing knowledge of the heavy haul industry to gain a deeper understanding of our specific operations, challenges, and opportunities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with our Director of Operations to understand the nuances of our fleet's daily operations and contribute insights based on your industry experience.
Regulatory Compliance:
Enhance your knowledge of state and federal regulations governing heavy haul transportation, including permit acquisition and compliance.
Software Proficiency:
Acquire proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other technological tools crucial for effective fleet planning.
Communication Skills:
Strengthen your communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Problem-Solving:
Develop skills in assessing and resolving issues that may arise during transportation, contributing your industry expertise to problem-solving scenarios.
Documentation:
Learn to maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and communication for reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is a plus).
Adaptability:
Willingness to learn any role in dispatch and learn new skills in a fast-paced work environment.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable using computer software and technology tools.
