Job Description

SUMMARY We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Assistant Dispatcher / Customer Support Coordinator to help manage daily transportation and service operations in a fast-moving environmental services environment. This role combines dispatch coordination, scheduling, and customer communication to support efficient route management and timely service completion. The ideal candidate is organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and comfortable communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams throughout the day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle inbound customer calls, emails, and service-related inquiries professionally and efficiently Coordinate pickup schedules, container deliveries, and service requests for residential and commercial clients Support dispatch operations by communicating schedules and route updates to drivers Track driver activity and assist with resolving delays, missed services, or route adjustments Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and dispatch logs within internal systems Address customer concerns related to service issues, scheduling updates, and billing questions Communicate scheduling changes and operational updates with clients and local service partners Enter and update dispatch information in real time using dispatch and office software systems Assist with general administrative and operational support duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus 1-3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, customer service, or operations support preferred Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus
