Dispatcher/Load Planner-Local Location:

About the Job Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager the Dispatcher role is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role within the Warehouse Department at TFI USA. This is your opportunity to influence, and innovate . Duties & Responsibilities- Build loads in Aljex and get quotes from carriers
- Send loads to best carrier available and confirm coverage of these loads
- Help schedule appointments for any carriers that need assistance
- Coordinate with sales/orders team with any date changes or scheduling issues
- Be available for after-hours carrier or driver issues on a rotational basis
- Dispatch local drivers and communicate with them in route to confirm deliveries
- Any additional tasks, within scope and ability, as requested by management Requirements/Education/Experience/Skills)
- High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- Experience with driver dispatch required
- Experience with load planning required
- Knowledge of Aljex preferred, not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Aljex a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative to find solutions
- Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International USA
- Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Able and willing to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs
- Ability to follow work schedule and maintain good attendance
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Skills & Knowledge
- High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- Experience with driver dispatch required
- Experience with load planning required
- Knowledge of Aljex preferred, not required
