MT Transportation (Division of MT Logistics Group Inc.) Position Summary MT Transportation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Dispatcher to join our growing logistics team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily transportation operations, managing driver activity, and ensuring efficient freight movement. We are willing to train the right candidate , but prior dispatching or logistics experience is preferred . We are looking for someone with an aggressive work ethic, strong communication skills, and leadership mindset who can take initiative and contribute within a team environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch drivers for daily local and regional deliveries and pickups Monitor and manage driver schedules, routes, and performance Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal staff regarding load status and updates Track and manage freight movement using Transportation Management System (TMS) software Generate and process Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documents, and order details Ensure timely and accurate data entry for shipments, billing, and customer records Proactively resolve delivery issues, delays, or operational challenges Maintain constant communication to ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations Manage driver productivity and labor efficiency Report directly to the Logistics Manager on daily operations and performance Required Skills & Qualifications Strong willingness to learn and grow within the transportation/logistics field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional email writing ability Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment High level of organization and attention to detail Ability to work independently and take initiative ("self-starter" mindset) Preferred Qualifications (Not Required - Will Train) Prior experience in dispatching, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) Experience working in trucking, warehousing, or supply chain operations Ideal Candidate Traits Aggressive and driven attitude toward problem-solving and performance Strong leadership mindset — does not wait for direction, takes ownership Team-oriented with the ability to work well in a department setting Ability to manage and communicate effectively with drivers Reliable, accountable, and results-focused What We Offer Opportunity to grow within a fast-growing logistics and transportation company Hands-on training with industry systems and operations Supportive team environment with direct access to leadership Career advancement opportunities within MT Logistics Group Inc.
