ABC Parts International, Inc. takes pride in its industry leading reputation for fast delivery. In our industry, time is money! We carry a diverse product line of auto body replacement parts such as hoods, fenders, bumpers, headlights, grilles, radiators, condensers, etc. ABC Parts International, Inc. Parts is looking for a highly motivated, Delivery Driver Dispatcher. The Dispatcher coordinates and manages the schedules and logistics of drivers to ensure customer orders are delivered in a timely manner. Our Dispatcher is the point of contact for drivers and has all the information needed to make deliveries. Our ideal candidate should possess excellent organization and communication skills, and have at least 3 years of experience as a dispatcher of a fleet of at least 25 vehicles or similar work experience.
Responsibilities:
Paid Training will be provided
- Oversees 25+ drivers by using Samsara GPS Tracking software.
- Reviews all safety or fleet alerts and addresses delivery drivers accordingly.
- Monitors and coaches' delivery drivers on any safety related issues.
- Maintains a daily log, assign vehicles, map and optimize routes, and distribute paperwork.
- Make sure delivery and shuttle truck drivers have the proper paperwork & items before leaving the base/hub.
- Ensures all drivers are following company policy regarding paperwork, parts, and cash.
- Maintains constant communication with all delivery drivers regarding their whereabouts, route completion, scheduling and or any other issue.
- Communicates & resolves issues with the Operations, Warehouse, & Customer Service manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the tri-state area
- Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
- Minimum 3 years of dispatching experience required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent Time management skills
- Strong pro-active work ethic.
- Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to type 60-70 words per minute with excellent computer navigation skills.
- Able to follow directions, both written and verbal.
- Posses above average organizational and follow up skills without having to be told to do so.
- Must be able to work outdoors regularly in varying temperatures.
Education/Training High School Diploma or Equivalent Benefits:
