Purpose of the

Position:

To receive complaints from the public concerning crimes, or emergencies involving police, fire and medical response units, broadcast the information to the appropriate entity, relay instructions or questions from remote units. Access data necessary to the units to respond appropriately. This is not just a job; it is a chance to have a career that makes a difference in people's lives. MULIT-TASK

is a must. One of the biggest challenges of this job is that it is multi-tasking on a whole new level from what you think multitasking is. You must be able to listen to a call, while typing information, while being aware of what everyone else in the room is doing, etc. Another challenge is that this job does require shift work. You will have to work various shifts throughout your career. The pay starts at $25.11/hour and has GREAT benefits. You must be a U.S. Citizen, have a valid Ohio Driver's License, be at least 18 years old, and have a high school diploma.
