The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation management processes. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, managing schedules, and communicating effectively with drivers and clients to ensure timely deliveries. Duties Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of transportation resources. Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments, analyze data, and optimize logistics processes. Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and driver assignments. Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes. Analyze transportation data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and resolve any issues that may arise during transit. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Use GIS technology to assist in route planning and optimization. Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly. Experience Proven experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred. Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems such as AS400 or SyteLine is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to transportation operations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with drivers, clients, and team members. Proficient in data entry with attention to detail. Knowledge of logistics principles and practices is desirable.
