Schedule:
Monday-Friday 07:30 AM- 04:30 PM (rotation of after-hours on call)
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to plan, organize, and manage other staff members to ensure work is accomplished in a consistent manner and adheres to all established company requirements. Monitor personnel, operations, and locations of equipment to coordinate services and schedules, while prioritizing time-sensitive cargo. Monitor staff members to ensure they comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety requirements, and government regulations. Investigate customer and shipper complaints, determine the root cause, the develop and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Schedule drivers and equipment to appropriate pick-up and delivery locations per customer requests and specifications through the use of onboard communication and telephone systems.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), U.S. geography, Windows-based software, and TMW dispatch software. Effective communication skills to perform job functions. Previous dispatch/operations work experience and knowledge of the transportation industry. Regular and timely attendance.
